Subsea production systems are exponentially increasing step-outs from gathering and processing facilities, generating both challenges and opportunities to develop strategies which both minimise risk and maximise production, while targeting lowest cost means of managing those objectives.  This session explores a number of different approaches taken by operators who have developed major subsea flowline gathering infrastructure, looking at combinations of physical design features, optimised understanding of the hydrocarbon chemistry and management of wax deposition, hydrate formation and corrosion inhibition while maximising ultimate recovery from the field.  Hear from both operators and researchers how they have approached the varied challenges each have faced and how effective their actual or potential solutions are.
