This session will address both the opportunity and the challenge of introducing Artificial Intelligence into the Oil & Gas Industry. Using case studies and recent research to show the art of the possible, while also raising awareness and challenging the audience to consider the potential limitations of the technology. The speakers will cover real world examples from both our own industry and companion industries; articulate the size of the prize for our industry as well as highlighting some key foundational issues around verification and the moral dilemma which need to be addressed. Facilitated by the co-chair, a Q&A session will allow the audience to engage in the debate and explore the information provided and the issues raised by the speakers. The session should provide thought provoking discussion which will encourage the audience to embrace the potential of AI while understanding the limitations.
