Oil and gas field development planning and management has always been built on a foundation of decisions informed by data, but how well utilised is that data? With the exponential pace of increased computing power and decreased relative cost, the oil and gas sector's ability to leverage its data sets to better inform and accelerate decision making is having a material impact on business performance. In this session we consider how this is transforming a wide range of real-world activities – gaining insights from "live" digital twins, reducing operating costs whilst improving reliability, using machine learning and AI to increase reservoir understanding.
