Keynote Programme Session: Securing Generation 2035


New technology and the energy transition is transforming the roles and skills needed in the global oil and gas industry and other energy sectors in the future. As industry looks ahead to 2035 and beyond, this session will consider the changes that will take place in how we work and what our industry needs to do to attract and retain the talent now and in the future through insights from other sectors as well as our own.

As well as providing an understanding of the challenges industry is already starting to address, the session will offer an insight into the diversity of jobs that will be required - some of which do not even exist today - and the strategic workforce planning that will be needed to deliver them. Shifting societal expectations will also influence how our industry moves forward in terms of its appeal to current and future generations from its approach to diversity and inclusion as well as to new technological and behavioural ways of working.
