Trevor Stapleton is a Civil Engineer and holds an MSc in Construction Engineering from Leeds University and an MBA from Aberdeen Business School; he is also a Chartered Safety Professional (MIOSH) and a Practitioner member of IEMA.  He has over 36 years of industry experience, spending most of that time with BP where he acquired a range of skills in the areas of HSE, supply chain, engineering and operations management in their Downstream and Upstream businesses. He has held senior HSE and Offshore Installation Manager positions and is a graduate of BP’s MIT Operations Academy. In his current position as Health & Safety Manager for Oil & Gas UK, he is helping lead the industry response to the hydrocarbon reduction challenge set by the HSE. Trevor is currently the co-chair of SciS’s Safety Alerts & Moments Work Group.
