Coupling Hub Shrink Fitting
Title Coupling Hub Shrink Fitting
Description The on board engineers had made several unsuccessful attempts to remove the hub using traditional methods, The Minac Induction unit together with flexible heating cables performed the task in approximately 10 minutes.

Hot Tapping
Title Hot Tapping
Description Another example of mobile induction heating technique is a project where we helped implement a subsea hot tapping solution.
The result enabled the heating of a branch pipe onto a 20” main high-pressure gas pipe 145m below the surface of the North Sea without any interruption in the flow of gas.

Post Weld Heat Treatment Of Pipelines
Title Post Weld Heat Treatment Of Pipelines
Description
Typical procedure is to heat as quick as possible to 650°C.
We have to reach the required temperature on the inside surface of the pipe. Keep the temperature for 5 minutes and quench by water.
Time consumption for a ten inch pipe with wall thickness 15mm is approx. 8-10 mins.

Post Weld Heat Treatment On vessels
Title Post Weld Heat Treatment On vessels
Description Years of experience in the oil & gas offshore industry. Recognised by major energy companies as a world leading provider of offshore induction solutions.

Induction heating is used for a variety of offshore applications, including stress relieving of welded joints.

Compact, robust and reliable EFD Induction equipment is ideal for taking on board ships and rigs.

Experienced employees—our offshore engineers often travel with induction equipment to provide offshore contract services, either to perform stress relieving work or to give technical support to customers’ operatives.

All EFD Induction offshore engineers have passed the relevant survival/safety training courses.

Pre Qualification Trials On Pipelines
Title Pre Qualification Trials On Pipelines
Description Pre-qualification trials are performed on each pipe dimension to determine when the correct temperature has been achieved.
An external control unit is used to accurately control the Post Weld Heating Treatment process.Data logging equipment is also used to ascertain temperature readings around the heat affected zone both internally and externally.

Name Bolt Heating
Length (mm:ss) 00.39
Description The use of induction heating for bolt expansion in high-pressure turbines is a powerful business
tool. It’s faster than resistance and flame heating. Its rapid, precise and localized heat doesn’t
damage bolts and threads. And with a compact, mobile EFD Induction ‘Twin’ Minac system, one
operator does the work of two.
