Description The 568-Series Enhanced Lubrication Kalsi Seals were developed to reduce torque and seal-generated heat in high pressure surface applications, where higher hydrodynamic leakage can be tolerated, and thinner viscosity lubricants may be encountered. Examples of relevant oilfield surface applications are rotary blowout preventers, rotary heads, and multi-port hydraulic swivels.

Description The Kalsi hydrodynamic thrust bearing incorporates a compact patented geometry that hydroplanes on a lubricant film during rotation, much like tire slippage on a wet road. This dramatically reduces friction, compared to conventional thrust bushings, allowing significantly higher loads and speeds, and providing longer life and reduced bearing-generated heat.

Description The Kalsi K-Cartridge was developed to address the extreme rotary sealing challenges that are encountered in oilfield well service mixing and charging pumps. The illustrated version of the K-Cartridge replaces the removable stuffing box on Gardner-Denver and Twentieth Century brand 4 x 5” and 5 x 6” centrifugal pumps. Title Mud Motor Seals
Description Sealed bearing mud motors have several rotary seal locations, and all are critical to reliability. A rotary seal in an axially floating pressure compensation piston is used to balance the lubricant pressure to the drillstring bore pressure. A rotary seal in a fixed location is used to withstand the high pressure differential between the lubricant and the well annulus pressure. A rotary seal in an axially floating barrier piston protects the high pressure seal from the drilling fluid.
