  • Embracing New Realities: Reinventing Our Industry

The Call for Papers is now closed. The committee will review all submissions and get in touch with authors in the coming months. We would like to thank everyone that took the time to submit a paper and we wish you success with your application.

Below are the topics on which papers were invited for submission which will give you an indication of what the conference will cover.

  • HSE - Engaging and Training our Workforce

New insights into health, safety and environmental management with a specific focus on people training and engagement. Best practices in engaging our people and contractors in adhering to our safety processes and standards and spreading a safety culture. Innovative and traditional approaches to safety training.

    Emerging and New Digital Technologies

From digital technology, big data analytics, intelligent agents and cyber security a new range of innovative digital technologies have started to make a big impact on the capabilities, efficiency, safety and security of our industry. Particular interest in case studies showing a positive impact on our industry performance.

    Subsea

Innovative subsea production and processing solutions provide the capability to debottleneck operations and unlock stranded pools making field development viable. Subsea production and processing technology case studies demonstrating improved operability, enhanced production and increased field recovery whilst reducing capital expenditure and improving net present value.
  • Decommissioning

Within the lower-for-longer oil price environment, the timeline for cessation of production and decommissioning on a growing number of assets has moved forward. This has led to increased efforts on abandonment planning and infrastructure cost-efficiency from subsurface to facilities. Best practices and examples, new methods and out-of-the-box and more collaborative solutions.

    Automation

Automation brings many benefits including improved enhanced performance, consistency, as well as reducing the exposure for people to hazardous environments. Innovative solutions and case studies for implementing automation to show these benefits in the Drilling, Completion and Abandonment operations for the offshore environment.

    Reinvigorating Drilling

When emerging from a downturn the demand for drilling services can increase much more quickly than the supply of tools and specialists. New solutions and case studies for systems including bits, tools, tubulars and rigs showing improvements in performance, ROP, shoe to shoe time, footage drilled per tool and MTBF as well as consistency and hole quality.

  • Innovation to Reduce the O&G Environmental Impact

Insight into the innovative technologies and increased operational efficiency models that have significant impact on reducing the O&G environmental footprint in all areas with a focus on contributing to the COP 21 Climate Change target.
